Be Young Essential Oils
Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) has been used as a fragrance and in aromatherapy. One trial found potential mood-elevating effects upon inhalation of cypress essential oil after physical work. In addition, laboratory study has suggested potential antiplatelet, anti-inflammatory , and immunostimulant effects of several extracted constituents from cypress.
Cypress has been mentioned in a historical manuscript, appended to a prayer book published in 1747, containing popular medical instructions and prescriptions, including the famous medieval SATOR formula against rabies, collected and practiced by orthodox priest Mihailo Plamenac in Montenegro at the turn of the 18th Century.
